Vintage 0.13ct Sapphire & Ruby 18ct Yellow Gold Snake Ring 1950

Stunning, fine and impressive vintage, 0.13 carat sapphire and 0.02 carat ruby, 18 carat yellow gold snake ring; part of our snake jewellery collections. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold. The ring has been realistically modelled in the form of a coiled snake*. The snake is ornamented with an impressive 0.13ct round faceted cut sapphire, pavé to the crown of the serpent's head. The serpent's head is further accented with two pavé set round faceted cut rubies representing the snake's eyes, totalling 0.02ct. The body and tail of the snake are embellished with texture decoration, emulating a snake's scales. The snake design melds into the plain hallmarked ring shank. This ring shank is hallmarked to the interior with the 18ct gold fineness mark (750, 18K) and the Italian town and maker's mark for Alessandria (237 Al). This vintage gold snake ring is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card. Note* Snakes were a universally popular expression of eternal love or a powerful symbol of wisdom.
