Description
Offered for sale is this attractive vintage French powder compact dating circa 1950 and measuring 7 cm in diameter. This powder compact is made of black celluloid. The base is plain black and the inset lid features a depiction of a courting couple dancing. The picture lid and the black celluloid edge has gilt metal scrollwork inlay.
The compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a framed glass mirror under the lid which is clear and reflective. The powder well in the base is empty.

Offered in good condition - there are some normal age and usage marks but no chips or cracks to the celluloid body. no missing or lifting to the gilt metal inlay and with clean interior. Thank you for looking.
