Vintage Sterling Silver Gate Bracelet 1977 Big Heart Padlock 7 1/4" Length 25.1 Grams

Fabulous Vintage solid Sterling silver Ladies very attractive, wide six bar gate bracelet with large heart padlock. C~1977. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 7 1/4" / 18.5cm total length and weighs a heavy 25.1 grams. Beautiful, crisp, totally un-worn, bright Sterling silver gate links (measure 2.6cm width), six in total which alternate from fancy twist links to smooth, highly polished straight bar links - all reflect the light beautifully. Each end tapers down with four rows of brick links. Clearly hallmarked in three places (within square shaped recessed cartouches) with the Lion Passant - Sterling silver. One of the robust (sealed) circular shaped end links is hallmarked to one side (within different shaped recessed cartouches) with the leopards head (London assay) and fancy capital letter; C - dating it to 1977. Also stamped with the makers initials; WES. Good, firm secure large heart padlock which opens correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click (and is easy to operate) which is again hallmarked to the back (again within different shaped recessed cartouches) with the Lion Passant, Leopards head and fancy capital letter; C - dating it to 1977 (which shows it is original to the bracelet). Also carries the makers initials (within an oblong shaped recessed cartouche); LC. Complete with original silver safety chain which is correctly threaded through the central ring of the padlock and carries a bolt ring (operates correctly) to one end so allowing the bracelet to fit easily over a larger hand. The bolt ring is clearly stamped to one side with the silver purity; 925. Beautifully made and very comfortable to wear. Excellent, bright, clean condition with no wear or indentations (looks to have had very little use in her 44 years service) and just overall extremely light and fine little (micro) surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
