Description
Lovely oversize Malacca wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London with the date letter for 1902. The makers mark for Barr Moering. Lovely tagua nut pommel grown on the elephant plant and native to South America above a silver collar. The large collar is writhen twist repousse decoration with a blank cartouche to the front and is wide enough that the ball top sits into it well. Mounted on an Malacca wood shaft, a good width so will support a good weight. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

condition
It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Some light bumps and surface marks to the silver as shown but no holes or splits. No damage or repairs to the shaft but surface marks with it being a fibrous wood and some lacquer wear.
