Description
Fine and impressive antique 0.15 carat diamond and 0.02 carat ruby, 9 carat white gold RAF Staff College brooch; part of our diverse diamond jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive antique diamond brooch has been crafted in 9ct white gold. The brooch has been modelled in the form of the hawk proper; it can be determined this represents the Hawk of Horus*. The body, wings and head of the eagle are embellished with a total of twenty-eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The eagle's eye is represented by an impressive oval faceted cut ruby. The eagle is perched on a 9ct white gold rocky terrain motif accented with a banner ornamented with blue hot enamel and bearing the motto 'Visu et Nisu' - By vision and effort'. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. The impressive RAF brooch has been hallmarked with the fineness mark for 9ct white gold (9ct). This antique diamond regimental brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Note: * The 'Hawk of Horus' is the blazon of the RAF Staff College, Bracknell, which was founded at Andover on the 1922. The college was later disbanded as it was absorbed into the Joint Services Command and Staff College in 1997. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
