Description
Stunning, fine and impressive antique 0.52 carat ruby and 5.32 carat diamond, platinum brooch; part of our diverse ruby jewellery collection. This stunning, fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in platinum. This antique brooch has been modelled in the form of a two cascading fruiting vines. The fifteen graduating, layered leaf designs are ornamented with one-hundred and twenty-one pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds. The cascading formations are further embellished with thirteen individually collet set rubies, totalling 0.52ct. The upper portion of these organic arrangements incorporates an impressive collet set 0.40ct transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond. The curvilinear stems of the shoots are ornamented with fourteen pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds, graduating in size dependent on location, creating a scalloped border to the upper portion. Each shoot stem entwines with a horizontal support embellished with eight channel set baguette cut diamonds, completing the brooch design. This impressive antique brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. This stunning example of 1930s jewellery has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. This impressive ruby and diamond vine shoot brooch in platinum is supplied with an Idgl diamond grading report certificate for the feature stone, in addition to an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card for the supporting stones. Such high quality examples of this stunning and desirable design are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
