Description
This is a stunning, fine and impressive antique Dutch 1.07 carat diamond cluster ring in 14 carat yellow gold; part of our internationally made jewellery and estate jewelry collections
This stunning, fine and impressive antique diamond cluster ring has been crafted in 14 ct yellow gold with silver settings.
The shaped, pierced decorated, multi-layered mount displays a feature eight claw silver set 0.47ct Dutch cut diamond held in relief to the centre of the impressive cluster design.
The central diamond is encircled by eight smaller composite* Dutch cut diamonds, which in turn are bordered by a further twenty-four Dutch cut diamonds silver set to the scallop-edged design.
The shaped, pierced decorated, elevated, tapering ring shoulders are accented with a silver set leaf motif at the junction with the silver setting.
The 14ct yellow gold shank is also discreetly shaped and accented with asymmetrical groove designs.
The ring shank is hallmarked to the interior with the Dutch silver guarantee mark (925 within a leaf outline) and the 14 ct gold fineness mark (585)
This antique dress ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the central diamond in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting diamonds.
Note *The diamonds are composite stones, with the top portion being a traditional Dutch cut diamond, with the associated flat base, layered on top of what is potentially glass (this cannot be fully tested without removing the stones from the original silver settings). The use of composite stones was common practice in the late 1800s). The grading and weights however are all correct for the diamonds in this example.
