Description
This is a fine and impressive 1.25 carat sapphire and 2.34 carat diamond, platinum brooch; part of our diverse antique sapphire jewellery collections. This fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated bar design is ornamented to the centre with a millegrain decorated collet set 1.25ct oval faceted cut sapphire. The feature sapphire is encompassed with a halo style border ornamented with the twenty-six pavé set eight cut diamonds. The stylised layered curvilinear bar is embellished with a total of twenty-eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds, graduating in size dependant on location. Either end of the shaped setting terminates with a 0.33ct and 0.29ct Old European cut diamond, each individually collet set and completing the bar brooch design. The brooch secures to the reverse with a 14ct yellow gold hinged pin and brooch clasp fastening. This antique sapphire brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 14ct gold. This impressive sapphire and diamond brooch in platinum is supplied with two Idgl diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card for the sapphire and supporting stones. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. This fine and impressive 1920s brooch is superior quality, set with an impressive sapphire displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence. The high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The brooch is an excellent gauge of platinum and gold and is in excellent condition. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique sapphire jewellery/estate jewelry.
