I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today most of my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Description
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of my stock. If any item is of interes, please do not hesitate to contact me. Still able to deliver to most areas, so if I can be of any help please do not hesitate to get in touch.
This is a rare 17th Century oak ‘Derbyshire’ wainscot single chair. The back consists of two shaped and carved hoops, the chair has its original seat and stands on bobbin legs, the condition is excellent with its old colour and polished surface. The chair stands its correct height and has not been built up. It has two turned finials in the centre of the back, originally there would have been a further two, one on each upright.
