17th Century Walnut Chest on Stand

Fabulous 17th century walnut chest on stand with the most wonderful warm walnut tone and in good condition. The chest of two over three drawers sits above the further three drawers to the base and is all absolutely as it should be from the 17th century. As with so many of these chests on stands, they have alterations over their lifetime and this one has had changes to the turned spindle supporting columns and the stretchered base, which look to be from the 19th century. All in good solid condition and of no concern, but mentioned so you know a bit of its history! This is a very decorative piece of antique furniture, happy to stand alone and be admired but also with all those drawers, it give you great storage and the top surface is flat and can hold a vase for example. The top lifts off the base for ease of moving. Measuring: 58 1/2 inches or 148.5 cm high 41 3/4 inches or 106 cm wide 23 3/4 inches or 60.5 cm deep at the base
