Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the 1829 Waverley Novels by Sir Walter Scott 48 x Volume Set Green & Gilt Leather (LA493036) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1829 - 1832
condition
Few leather spines with some very minor rubbing or minor scuff, rear board to volume 20 is cracked to middle of board but holding firm, occasional minor spots of foxing, minor stain mostly to frontis plates or crease to pages.
Overall a superb set with gilt to all spines bright & even, no cracking to hinges & majority of pages clean.
