18th Century Carved Oak Dresser with Kings
This is a handsome piece with a wonderful patina, the carving is of very fine quality, the very top section is even older it dates from the 17th Century.
This section has the portrait of a king carved on each side, and there is a central shield on the front of the cornice, it appears the wood has been taken back and a scratch carved W has been added
The base of the dresser has 3 carved panels to the front, 2 of which are doors to the cupboard and there are also 2 drawers beneath. The top section has a carved panelled back gallery with carved sides. The edges of the dresser are all carved and the knobs etc are all in turned wood.
The dresser is in good condition for its age it does separate for transportation but is never the less a very heavy piece.
When assembled it is 81” high, 60” wide and 22”deep,
