Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally very sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frames. No loose joints. A repair to one of the bottom stretchers on one of the chairs. Some old and extinct worm holes, typical of old walnut furniture, recently treated by way of precaution, but not affecting the chairs structurally in any way. All well wax polished in, not immediately obvious and not affecting the appearance of the chairs in any way. The frames have good colour and wax polish throughout, with very good patina. The feet may all be later replacements. The chairs have been reupholstered at some time, likely the c.19th as the needlepoint fabric appears to date from that time. All done in the traditional manner. The fabric covers have wear and fading, but are all in good condition given their age, and are suitable well presented. The upholstery is structurally very sound and pleasantly firm, with no sagging. These chairs have been through the worksop and have been carefully serviced, sensitively cleaned and waxed and are now very much ready to be used. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
