1950s Janine Abraham Basket Weave Chair

A wonderful 1950s basket weave lounge chair made of steel, bamboo and plastic-wrapped fibre, this was designed by Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol. This example is in a lovely colourway of blue, white and black. * Designed by the French designer Janine Abraham and her Dutch collaborator Dirk Jan Rol in the 1950s. * Structurally sound construction in steel and plastic covered fibre, with a bamboo frame to the seat shell. * Attractive colour combination highlighting the blue. * Elegant basket seat shell is held by the black steel leg frame, which has a wing nut clamp at the back to hold it. * Comfortable seat.
