A 1951 Longines stainless steel cased wristwatch. A silvered dial with light patina. Applied steel Arabic numerals to the even numbers, with contrasting applied dots to the rest. Surrounded by an outer minute track. Steel 'feuille' hands. A subsidiary seconds dial to 6 o'clock, above 'Swiss made'.
A stainless steel 3 piece case with a snap on case back. Case back inner marked 'Baume, Made in England' and 'Denisteel'. Baume were the official importers for Longines in Great Britain and primarily used Dennison for their cases - as one of the premier case makers of the period. Case back signed 13322 and 7564.
The watch is powered by a 17 jewel calibre 12.68Z, with gilded mechanism plates. Serial numbers date this watch to 1951.
