Our business is based in the beautiful village of Debenham in Suffolk, England, which is close to Constable country. I take our pride in being the 4th generation in my family to be antique dealers who have been buying and selling antiques for over a century. With our expanding web presence in the UK, we also have a base in the USA with Debenham Antiques inc. Along with expanding our international web based business, we also quite unusually retain our high street presence, with a large retail shop which we use to display our finest goods, and to offer the client a more personal service for the those who like to discuss their needs.
Here at Debenham Antiques we try to cater for all styles and tastes, and we believe this is reflected in our stock as you can find anything from 15th century carvings to late 20th century fine quality furniture. We have experts in furniture and paintings who buy our goods with safe knowledge. We also offer a wide range of fine quality reproduction furniture which is all lovingly handcrafted by ourselves locally, using the best timbers.
Debenham Antiques works hard to ensure that we provide the client with a quality experience from start to finish. All our buying, photography, restoration, polishing and shipping is carried out in house by our dedicated team of staff. This we feel allows us to be in control from start to finish, which only benefits our customers.

19th Century Edwards & Roberts Birds Eye Maple Card Table
19th century edwards and roberts birds eye maple card table circa 1890. Stunning quality card/game's table by edwards and roberts, with makers plaque on the underside. Unusually for edwards and roberts this is made in birds eye maple, so can only presume that it may have been a special commission. Shaped top surface, which shows the beautiful grain to full effect, cross banded twice in walnut to echo the shape. top rotates and flips open to reveal the original green baize playing surface, decorated with a further inlaid border. below the top is a shaped apron with further inlay which is applied to all sides and running down the cabriole legs. fine quality cast mounts which run from just below the top surface all the way to the toe. Minor restorations to woodwork to top surface. 1 small piece of metalwork missing to 1 leg, which is photographed. recently re-finished in our workshop and ready for the home. Open width: 44"
