These screens typically consisted of multiple hinged panels that could be folded to stand upright, creating portable walls to divide a space or add privacy. They also showcased the period's craftsmanship and folk art traditions, with each screen reflecting the culture and artistic style of its region. The level of detail to the painted screen room or divider is quite remarkable. With hand-painted motifs, these panels were often adorned with hand-painted scenes and motifs, using techniques passed down through generations.
