Description
Very unusual wine table with three under tier bottle or glass rests.
I would imagine you couldn't buy this off the shelf back in the mid to late 1800's. It is far too specialized to even consider this. However, I could imagine someone with reasonable wealth, to approach a talented furniture maker and have this charming 19th century marquetry inlaid wine table commissioned.
Finely constructed from mahogany wood, feature an intricate parquetry design and wonderful classic styling. The stand out feature for me is the three branch tray tops beneath the parquetry top, ideal for placing your favourite wine bottle or glass. It seems to work both ways depending on if you were in a low chair.
