19th Century Rustic Pine Irish Chicken Hutch Dresser
This dresser is a genuine Irish piece with as much of a rustic look that anyone could want, it has a wonderful Rustic patina which has been made mostly by Irish wood worm and if you are familiar with Irish furniture you will know what I mean.
This is a real country piece and would work well in a Victorian Farmhouse Kitchen Design or as a standalone in a modern room.
The dresser top is shelved with plate rests, below there are 2 drawers a double bottle rack for the black stuff and a double door Chicken Coup. Early dressers often had this feature, the chickens would be let out in the morning after they had laid the eggs and they were kept warm in the kitchen over night
This charming ancient dresser is rustic and well constructed, as previously mentioned it gas had the Irish worm but the wood worm is quite dead now so there will be no further deterioration and it has left behind the classic look.
Many of our design clients are anxious to find rustic and country items with great character and are looking for pieces like this with original patination and plenty of authentic character.
The dresser is 49” wide, 18”deep and 77”high and it does disassemble for transportation.
