For sale is a Scottish vernacular creepie / stool in a particularly pleasing and decorative worn iron red paint from the late 19th Century. - The medium sized creepie, five boarded stool is in good solid antique condition with a lovely worn red paint and thick boarded construction built in a robust manner - It has a central circular finger cut hole to aid lifting / moving - The creepie is characteristic of Scottish vernacular 'Creepie' stools - Age-related wear and marks but nothing to effect the solid honest utility of the creepie, chip off a board end but a long time ago as it was painted red after that occurred and was still of clear utility. These Scottish vernacular stools were of great utility in rural homes for seating by the fire, as a candle stand, small table or ad-hoc workbench.
