We are located in Suffolk just outside Woodbridge and is run from a spacious thatched cottage housing nine large showrooms with a vast adjacent car park. Specialising in 18th and 19th century furniture, together with creating custom hand-made furniture which is supplied to various interior designers, trade and the retail market. Every piece on the showroom floor is in excellent condition and ready to go straight into the buyers home or premises. All of Martlesham Antiques furniture is hand polished by their own French polishers and restorers to a very high standard. We are also a member of LAPADA, the association of art and antiques.

Description
19th Century French walnut and kingwood bureau de dame, the rectangular top decorated with brass gallery, carved ormolu moulding below on the top and bottom of the frieze, the top section having two mirrored glass doors with ormolu moulding, opening to reveal a red velvet lined interior with a single fixed shelf, canted corners either side of the doors, the bureau fall opening to reveal a green baize writing surface, lovely fitted interior which includes three small drawers with carved brass handles, below the bureau fall is a single frieze drawer with a shaped apron, the sides and front of the piece profusely inlaid with exotic woods, a lovely feature is that there is fine brass inlay on the outside of each wood inlay, carved ormolu moulding on the sides and on the bureau fall, standing on elegant shaped legs with further inlay and ormolu, this piece can also be freestanding as the back is finished in a lovely walnut veneer.
A truly wonderful piece of furniture that is in excellent condition.
