2.30ct Opal & 2.51ct Diamond, 14ct Yellow Gold Necklace

This is a stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 2.30 carat opal and 2.54 carat diamond, 14 carat yellow gold necklace; part of our antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian necklace has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold. The antique necklace is embellished with an eight claw set cabochon cut opal to the centre of the feature setting. The asymmetrical paired leaf openwork frame incorporates nine individually claw set Old European cut diamonds. The impressive necklace is embellished with an articulated pensile drop, featuring a vertical arrangement of four claw set diamonds and terminating with an eight claw set cabochon cut opal. The upper border of the necklace is embellished with thirteen further claw set diamonds, in an articulated formation and conjoining with the yellow gold chain. This late Victorian opal necklace secures to the reverse with a push fit barrel clasp. This gold and opal necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 carat gold. This impressive opal necklace is supplied with an independent diamond and gemstone grading report card. This stunning necklace is fitted to an antique leatherette box featuring a satin and velvet interior, securing with a push fit clasp.
