Description
This is a stunning, fine and impressive 1930s 2.48 carat Ceylon sapphire and 0.96 carat diamond, platinum ring; part of our collection of blue sapphire rings.
This stunning, fine and impressive sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in platinum.
The pierced decorated setting displays a feature central four-claw set 2.48ct round faceted cut Ceylon sapphire.
The upper and lower borders of the stunning feature sapphire are each ornamented with three transitional modern brilliant round diamonds, pavé set in a horizontal linear formation.
The sapphire is further flanked to each side with two horizontal rows of five graduating pavé set transitional modern brilliant round diamonds, conjoining with the elevated shoulders.
The pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank.
The outer surface of the ring shank bears the French import hallmark for platinum (masked man); this is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office.
This impressive antique ring is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card.
Note: * The Gemmological Certification Services (Gcs) lab has verbally accredited the sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and verifies that the gemstone shows no evidence of heat treatment.
