Description
Stunning, fine and impressive 3.50 carat Ceylon sapphire and 2.48 carat diamond, platinum dress ring; part of our diverse antique jewellery collections.
This stunning antique blue sapphire ring has been crafted in platinum.
The pierced millegrain decorated, cluster arrangement displays a stunning feature 3.50ct cushion cut Ceylon* sapphire, collet set in relief to the centre of the design.
The sapphire is encompassed with fourteen impressive individually collet set Old European round cut diamonds, held within a scalloped edged design.
The outer border of the surrounding setting is embellished with a further twenty-six pavé set Old European cut diamonds.
The pierced scroll decorated, elevated ring shoulders blend with the main setting and meld with the plain ring shank at a subtle collared design.
The interior surface of the shank is hallmarked with the platinum mark (Plat).
This stunning cluster ring is supplied with a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London**, in addition to a diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
Notes: * Ceylon sapphires (mined only in Sri Lanka) are known for their unique colour, ranging from very pale blue to vibrant almost electric blue. The colours noted within Ceylon sapphires occur naturally and do not tend to be heat treated, the most sought after known as the cornflower blue.
** This documentation accredits the blue sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and certifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating; non-heated sapphires are a scarcity.
Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
