Description
Stunning, fine and impressive pair of antique 4.35 carat diamond and platinum earrings; part of our diamond jewellery collections. These stunning, fine and impressive antique earrings have been crafted in platinum with 18ct white gold fittings. Each opposing asymmetrical earring is ornamented with an impressive, central feature four claw set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond, totalling 0.50ct. The interlacing scalloped settings are further ornamented with thirty-four pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds. These 1930s platinum earrings secure to the reverse with an 18ct white gold post and depressing fitment style fastening, providing a secure and comfortable fit; this style of fastening indicates the high quality of the pieces. These impressive examples of 1930s jewellery are hallmarked to the posts with the French platinum import mark (masked man) and gold mark (owl) and have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 18ct gold. The 1930s diamond earrings fastenings are further hallmarked with the French 18ct gold mark (eagle's head) and maker's mark (Ga), 'Alpa' and the fastening manufacturers mark 'Mecan'. These antique diamond earrings are supplied with two Idgl diamond grading certificates for the feature diamonds, in addition to an Idgl diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. These stunning antique diamond earrings are excellent quality, set with high colour and clarity graded feature diamonds displaying a fine white colour, brilliance and presence. The well colour matched supporting diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The earrings are an excellent gauge of platinum and gold, and are in excellent condition. The hallmarks to one post have wear and the other remains very clear; the hallmarks to the fastening are also very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique diamond jewellery.
