A 19th Century French Oak Refectory Table
This is a very heavy solid oak country table. The wood for this table was reclaimed from a ship.
A refectory table from Brittany, the top is made from four 3” thick planks. The table is a typically French style known over there as a monastery table. The table legs are made from 10” diameter wood from the mast and still retain the iron rope rings.
The table is a beautiful medium oak colour. The table is very sound and does not wobble, and the top can be dismantled for ease of access. A superb slightly rustic piece and will stand up to no end of use.
This is a very heavy piece.
The table is 78” long, 30” wide, 30” high.
