Description
This fabulous Canadian silver brooch is designed as a feather and decorated in stunning blue and ivory guilloche enamels, with a central silver spine. The feathering is detailed and enhanced with an enamelled simulated pearl.
The brooch is a rare piece from the Roden Brothers Ltd. Company of Toronto (established in 1891) and dates to around 1910.
The feather is a symbol of trust, honour, wisdom and strength and was a popular motif in the early 20th Century. The pin is fastened with a 'C' clasp and shows traces of the original gold plating to the reverse.
Marked Sterling .925 and maker's mark.
