Description
A exceptional quality French eight day striking and repeating carriage clock. circa 1895
The case is polished brass with a fully glazed corniche style case with pivoted carrying handle and hour strike repeat button to the top. A white enamel dial set in a gilt shows a minute circle and comes with blued steel hands.
The twin gong barrels movement with original Swiss silvered platform lever escapement strike the hours and half hours and repeat the hours on a rear-mounted gong.
This is a high quality carriage clock.

Condition
The clock is in excellent condition with only minor marks and surface scratches consistent with the age of the clock. The brass is clean and bright and all glazed bevelled glass panels are complete with no damage.
The enamel dial set in a gilt face is in perfect condition and the hands have a good blued colour.
The clock movement has been fully cleaned and overhauled. It runs and keeps time as it should. We expect a clock of this period and style to keep within +/- 2 minutes per week. 6 Month guarantee.
