Description
This is a very decorative desk in an unusual style, similar to Gothic Revival, Christopher Dresser furniture, some Arts & Crafts and some almost aesthetic movement. Basically a combination of style and elements synonymous with all of the above. Also one could argue as to Anglo Japanese too. In my opinion this is not British but American. I'm not suggesting "Herter Brothers" ; but saying in the style of the Herter Brothers. One can easily see where Christopher Dresser/ John Moyr Smith names come into a debate on this piece of furniture. As of the Aesthetic period there is obviously amboyna wood that was used extensively during that period in the desk.
This can exported to the USA in a purpose made plywood/wooden box if required. The handles would indicate that they are American.

condition
As per photos. The finish on the wood can be removed and the table brought back to its original condition/finish. There are a few odd things wrong with it but nothing too drastic. Any competent restore can restore this.
