Description
Andreas Gyula Bubarnik (Hungarian 1936-2010) still life of peaches, grapes and vine leaves, pewter tankard, wine glass, silver platter, and rug. Oil on wood panel. Signed lower left. Mounted in a composition frame with red textile slip.
We rate this artist extremely highly, as good as or even better than many of the 17th Dutch still life painters of the “Golden Age” who were his inspiration. A master of soft light, the immensely high degree of realism has been achieved by other artists but few have come anywhere near Bubarnik’s ability to create depth through perspective and light.
Provenance: With E. Stacey-Marks Ltd.
Biography: Andreas Gyula Bubarnik was born in 1936 in a small town close to Budapest in Hungary and raised on his family farm. Through following his interest in art history and techniques he developed an exceptional realist style. Never indulging in self-promotion, little is known about the artist. He has allowed his work to speak for itself.
Shipping: Free to most destinations worldwide. If your destination does not show free shipping, please inquire.
