Description
Fine and impressive 0.13 carat diamond, 0.02 carat ruby and enamel, 14ct yellow gold and silver set cockerel bar brooch; part of our diverse bird brooches collection. This fine and impressive antique bar brooch has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold with a silver setting. The bar style brooch is ornamented to the centre with a silver set design modelled in the form of a crowing cockerel. The cockerel is embellished with twenty-five pavé set diamonds, in a combination of mine and Dutch cuts. The bird's eye is represented with a single pavé set 0.02ct cabochon cut ruby. The wattle and comb of the cockerel are embellished with impressive red hot enamel decoration. The brooch secures with a hinged pin and sheath style fastening. This antique bird brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 14ct gold and silver. This diamond cockerel brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. This antique 1900's cockerel brooch is excellent quality, set with an impressive ruby displaying fine colour and brilliance. The well colour matched diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The brooch is an excellent gauge of gold and silver, and is in excellent condition. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique bird jewellery.
