Description
A fine and impressive antique German 0.24 carat natural emerald and 0.23 carat diamond, 14 carat yellow gold and 14 carat white gold set cocktail ring; part of our antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections.
This fine and impressive antique ring has been crafted in 14 ct yellow gold with a 14ct white gold setting.
The pierced decorated, millegrain decorated frame is ornamented with a 0.24ct square step cut natural emerald and an Old European round cut diamond, displayed vertically in relief to the centre of the design.
The flared, bifurcating ring shoulders are accented with four pavé set eight-cut diamond.
The shoulders integrate into the channelled ring shank, hallmarked to the interior with the 14ct gold fineness mark (585).
Due to the style of the ring there is a strong probability of German origin.
This 1920's emerald and diamond ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
'Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics.'
