Description
Stunning, fine and impressive antique 1.47 carat oval sapphire and 0.54 carat diamond, platinum cluster style dress ring; part of our diverse antique sapphire jewellery collections. This stunning, fine and impressive oval sapphire ring with diamonds has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated cluster setting is ornamented with a feature millegrain decorated collet set 1.47ct oval faceted cut blue sapphire. The sapphire is encompassed by two stepped concentric frames, the inner embellished with twenty-seven pavé set Dutch-cut diamonds, the outer a further thirty-four pavé set Dutch-cut diamonds. The elevated ring shoulders are each embellished with three pavé set diamonds, integrating with the main setting with a subtle groove design and blending seamlessly with the ring shank. The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French mark for platinum (dog's head) and the French import mark for platinum (weevil); the weevil mark was temporarily used between 1910 and 1912 to hallmark imported platinum items. This impressive 1910s ring is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone of this oval sapphire ring with diamond halo.
