Description
This is an antique 4 division Canterbury. An English, mahogany broadsheet newspaper or magazine stand, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Fine Georgian craftsmanship, ideal for the living room or conservatory, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues. It is of country house proportion, well sized for weekend broadsheets and supplements.
Arranged as four divisions, the central divider finished with a neat butler's grasp. Graceful staves stretch between block shoulders upon turned uprights. Useful drawer to base adds further storage, dressed with a pair of circular pulls. Raised upon short turned legs and riding smoothly upon brass castors to each corner.
This is a generously sized antique Canterbury, with fine colour and appealing Regency finish. Of useful size for several larger publications or sheet music if required. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee with all of our antiques.
