Antique 6.84ct Onyx, 15.40ct Diamond & Platinum Bracelet c.1920

Stunning, fine and impressive antique 6.84 carat onyx, 15.40 carat diamond and platinum bracelet; part of our diverse collection of antique jewellery. This stunning, fine and impressive antique bracelet has been crafted in platinum. The articulated bracelet is composed of nineteen diamond and onyx set links, accented with engraved decoration to the sides. The overall design displays a central band of thirty-eight channel set square faceted cut onyxes. The onyx pale to each link is flanked to the upper and lower portions with two pavé set Old European round cut diamonds. This antique bracelet secures with a discreet integrated push fit clasp, benefitting from the added security of a hinged safety catch. The tongue of the clasp is hallmarked with the multitude and arrangement of French hallmarks consistent with the French weight system, including the maker's mark, platinum mark (dog's head) and 18ct white gold mark (eagle's head); often period pieces are not hallmarked, the French hallmarks to the tongue are a fine feature. This stunning black onyx and diamond bracelet has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum with an 18 carat gold clasp. This impressive antique diamond and onyx bracelet in platinum is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card. Such examples with a larger content of diamonds in this high grade and quality are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
