Antique Baluch Persian Afghan Rug C1920 - 7' x 3'8" (213.5x111.5cm Balouch)

A Baluch Persian possibly Afghan handwoven rug, approximately 7' x 3'8", dating from the early C20th. This rug with compartmentalised field of serrated guls and latch hook medallions, decorated with vertical indigo bands, framed by multiple borders. A hand knotted and supple rug, with soft pile, selvages and fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations. A charming old rug, full of character and ready to use. Dimensions: This rug measures approximately 213.5 cm long including fringes, and 111.5 cm wide. Condition: Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in fairly reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some losses and fraying to the ends and sides. Some wear to the pile. Good even colour. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
