Antique Blue Opaline Disc Form Chatelaine Perfume Scent Bottle with Sterling Silver Mounts c.1880

Offered for your consideration is this fine antique chatelaine scent bottle of French origin and dating circa 1880. This perfume bottle measures a petite 4.5 cm in length excluding the attached suspensory chain and clip. The bottle has a disc form and is made of blue opaline glass and the shoulders are mounted with a decorative engraved sterling silver mount with attached silver chain and clip so that the bottle could be hung from a chain or chatelaine. The bottle also has silver collar and hinged plain silver lid and retains the tiny inner glass stopper. This antique chatelaine scent bottle is offered in very good condition with no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body, neck and inner stopper. The metal mount has no damage and the lid fits firmly and securely and has no dents or dings. Thank you for your interest.
