Description
This is an antique boot maker's mirror. An English, mahogany and glass cheval mirror, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.
Fascinatingly low profile, ideal for retail use or upon a large dressing table that displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues. Original mirror plate presented in a desirable, lightly foxed manner.
Gently chamfered frame with arched crest over the deep, bright mirror plate. Eye-catching show frame with elongated supports with carved diamond motif. Mirror in fixed position, with a quality bronze rear support below a quarter panelled back. Standing upon squat scrolled legs with sash apron and shaped stretcher rail.
This is a superb antique boot maker's mirror, perfect for assessing a new pair of shoes in the home or retail environment. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready to enjoy.
