Peter Nicholson (1765 - 1844) was a Scottish architect, carpenter, mathematician and engineer. Presented in aged condition - cover loose, aged pages intact with some markings present. Bound in marble paper on board, the leathered spine with gold titling. Superb frontispiece with a portrait of the author and a scene of centring on Waterloo Bridge, London. Published in English across 176 pages, with engraved illustrations to rear on 90 plates.
