This is an antique castle purser's requisitions box. An English, oak mounted organiser case, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.
Delightfully crafted baronial organiser with fine figuring and colour that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Select oak presents fine grain interest and deep caramel hues. Striking leather hide concertina in very good condition.
Shaped apron upper with inset mounting loop for ease of hanging. Fall front held securely with the lift-up lid. Concertina opens outwards in the accordion manner. Relief carved monogram to the centre with the initial Teb.
