Fine country house library cabinet, with striking carved appearance that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Superb Scottish oak presents fine grain interest and medullary rays. Rich caramel hues accentuate the beautifully figured stocks. Fascinating arrangement with shelves across the front and to each end. Exceptional carved upper apron with chased oak leaf relief in the Gothic manner. Bold pilasters to each side, adorned with leaf bulb motif. Lower apron adorned with demi-lune carved patterns.
