Description
Exceptional, fine and impressive 0.03 carat diamond, 22 carat yellow gold brooch/pendant in the form of a snake; part of our diverse antique snake jewellery collection. This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 22ct yellow gold. This antique gold brooch has been modelled in the form of a snake, twisted and entwined in a trefoil-shape. The head of the snake features a textured finish accented with collet set Dutch cut diamonds, totalling 0.03ct, representing the serpent's eyes. The interlacing body of the snake has a frosted finish. This antique brooch secures to the reverse with an 18ct yellow gold hinged pin and clasp; the pin bears the French hallmark for 18ct gold (eagle's head). This versatile antique gold snake brooch may also be worn as a pendant, suspended from a chain via an integrated loop comprised by the snake's tail to the reverse of the frame. This brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 22ct gold; this indicates the high quality of the piece. This Victorian snake brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond grading report card. Such original antique examples in this fine condition are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
