Description
A very good example of an English 17th Century bronze mortar from a London unidentified foundry.... it stands on a raised broad base and has a wide flared out rim.... it is cast with four fleur-de-lis patterns, so maybe it has some French connection...... the mortar is in very fine condition for its great age, with a good natural patina.
