A stunning antique Edwardian inlaid rosewood envelope card table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.
The quality is outstanding, this is beautifully made with gorgeous inlaid satin wood marquetry. The rosewood colour tones are grain patterns are gorgeous throughout. The segmented top gives the name of envelope card table to this model, it opens by slightly twisting until one of the leaves pops up, then all of the leaves can unfold. When unfolded a baize lined playing surface is revealed, the interior is mostly rosewood, with satin wood recesses for storing chips etc.
We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there and some wear/ marks to the edges of the baize.
