Exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver straight Old English pattern eighteen person flatware service - boxed; an addition to our flatware collection. The pieces of this exceptional, antique Edwardian straight* sterling silver canteen of cutlery for eighteen people have been crafted in the Old English pattern. The anterior surface of each handle is embellished with a contemporary engraved crest of a dexter cubit arm in armour, holding a fleur-de-lis. The silver spoons are ornamented with a plain rounded heel to the reverse of the bowls. This Edwardian silver flatware set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The original box shows some wear in keeping with age, but can still be considered to be in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this exceptional boxed 77 piece canteen of cutlery set.
