Stunning Pair of English Regency Period Hand Painted Two Handled Mantle Vases of Museum quality of ovoid outline, ending on square bases. Firmly attributed to Coalport or Rockingham Factories. Each central reserve exquisitely hand painted depicting Summer Flowers within an elaborate gilt surround, above a circular support with foliate gilding on cobalt blue ground. The twin gilt handles modelled as snakes above acanthus leaf moulding. Height: (entire) 11” (27.5cm). Width: (at base) 3.5” (9cm). Depth: 3.5” (9cm). Condition: Good untouched condition with no evidence of any restoration, no wear to gilding at high points, possibly never used, no damage where each vase meets its base.
