Antique French 8.50ct Diamond, 9k Gold & Silver Necklace c.1860

This stunning, fine and impressive antique French diamond floral necklace has been crafted in 9ct gold and silver. This antique diamond necklace consists of seven floral shaped designs, graduating in size. The central flower head design is embellished with a central claw set Old European cut diamond, encompassed with five petals incorporating twenty-three pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The further six floral designs bear the same formation as the feature flower, with sequential diamond content. The flower designs conjoin and subtly articulate with a scrolling frame embellished with eighty-eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The feature scrolling leaf and floral links connect to a horizontal pale chain to the reverse, accented with twenty-two collet set Dutch cut diamonds, securing with a push fit clasp. This versatile necklace can be worn as a collarette or a chocker; the chain length can be adjusted by removing a portion via a secondary push fit catch - this indicates the high quality of the piece. The necklace is hallmarked to the tongue with the French hallmarks for 18ct gold (horse's head) and maker's mark; the multitude and arrangement of these hallmarks is consistent with the French weight system markings. This antique 1860's necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold and silver, with an 18 carat gold catch. This stunning antique floral diamond necklace in gold is supplied with an Idgl diamond grading report card.
