Description
Antique French Bell Striking 8-Day Mantel Clock - Sevres Panels c.1860 - Serviced July 2024 This is a wonderful clock. The clock benefits from a stepped diamond style top. The dial and panel are flanked by Sevres turned Corinthian columns decorated with floral pattern, inverted base with stepped bracket feet. The dial is French Sevres porcelain with etched decoration depicted ships the coastline and the sea. The clock is flanked by two wonderful garnitures following on from the theme of the clock with ships and the see. This is a French 8 day bell striking movement stamped with a number which matches the pendulum and the makers medal for Japy Freres. The movement has its original pendulum and has just been serviced by my father's friend John.
