Description
On offer is this fine antique French Grand Tour souvenir perfume bottle dating circa 1880 and standing 9 cm in height. This perfume bottle has smooth rounded shaped body and is made of beautiful white opaline glass. The bottle has decorative pierced gilt ormolu mount covering the shoulders and extending down the body. The hinged gilt metal lid is set to the top with a miniature eglomise watercolour painting with scenic Parisian view depicting Les Invalides.
This antique perfume bottle is offered in good condition. There are no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body. The neck of the bottle is undamaged and the bottle is lacking the internal stopper. The lid fits firmly and securely and the painting in the lid has some age related fading.
