This is an exceptional antique 18th century English sterling silver barrel shaped mustard pot; an addition to our Georgian silver cruets / condiments collection.
This exceptional antique George III sterling silver mustard pot has been realistically modelled in the form of a barrel.
The body of the mustard pot is embellished with applied girdles outlining the features of the bilge hoops and quarter hoops.
This fine mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked plain domed hinged cover surmounted with a cast thumbpiece.
The mustard pot is fitted with a cast silver thread decorated handle, accented with plain pendant drop design to the upper terminal.
This mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner.
This exceptional mustard pot is supplied with an associate Victorian Fiddle pattern London sterling silver spoon, crafted by Charles Boyton (I) in 1848.
The mustard pot has been crafted in a highly desirable form and is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.

This barrel shaped mustard pot in sterling silver is an excellent gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all clear.
